Erol Alkan's mix today on BBC 6 has a ton of my favorite artists. The Kindness, Space Art, Memory Tapes, and Fools Gold. He also plays "You'll Disappear". There's a great mix of "Only Love Can Break Your Heart" by St. Etienne that I'm searching for as a download but haven't found yet.

"15 to 20 80Kidz Remix"-- The Phenomenal Handclap Band

We've gotten a lot of great remixes from the likes of Prins Thomas, Bim Marx, and Horse Meat Disco. This one is really over the top--in a good way.

"Sugar Daddy"--Michigan and Smiley

I've watched this dozens of times. It gets taken down from ol' Youtube pretty often.

"Mania De Voce" --Rita Lee

We've been Rita Lee fans for a while. Her solo work gets overshadowed in the U.S. by her work with her first band, Os Mutantes. Her career post Mutantes has an incredible depth. Her songwriting is spectacular.

On a separate note, new DFA signees, Canyons, sampled her beautiful song "Caso Serio" on their great "Apples and Pears".
